I'll keep this short but sweet: While the game offers alot of things to do and plenty of hidden goodies to sift through, some of the more interesting areas are hidden behind a PREMIUM paywall essentially making it a waste of my time, while it may be worthwhile for others to play I was more than a little irritated that the content I was hunting for required dead presidents to access.
Inform 7 games are hard to play if you have no idea about the engine. If you want to play this game, you will need to learn the commands and type them:
the foundation command: help
the basic commands: look (l), examine (x), inventory (i)
some example: l, l me, x statue, i
the movement commands: n s e w u d in out, for north south east west up down in and out
the action commabds: search take drop wear remove stand sit drink eat throw, and a lot more which the player has to explore themselves
4 stars for the reason that the game has depth and problem solving, but lacking the intro that helps the user from getting into the game. I am sure that many people are turned away for having no idea about inform 7. putting introduction and may be a short tutorial at the very beginning can be a hugh jump.
with inform 7, the player need a very good memory to remember the map themselves, which luckily can be found on a wiki site, and pen and paper for note dropping.
the game itselves focus on partial animal transformation. gender transforming is rare and has minimal effort to the game play. so if you are into seeing yourselves with a cat tail, dog ears, tiger claws and horse legs, give this one a try.
