Future Fragments

NEW OCTOBER DEMO!! - https://mega.nz/#!IR9yWYgY!hAsRZ_zdzaiUX1fHHUTGjOgBp1lxNWIHqLkXDo7S938
Engine needed to play: Windows XP or later (GameMaker)

If you want to support us and make the full game a reality, go to http://www.patreon.com/futurefragments and help us out!
In return, you'll be able to get some neat stuff, including;

  • A level editor and cutscene editor that lets you make your own levels and cutscenes in-game and even add your own art into levels!
  • Your name in the game's Databanks (most of the Databanks in this demo had Patron names in them!)
  • All the audio that SilkyMilk's recorded for the game, including un-used audio (and lots of it!)
  • The straight up source code for the entire game, which you can use however you like in your own projects
  • Your name in the game's backgrounds or credits

Also, to clarify, if you pledge ONE TIME at ANY LEVEL, you get THAT LEVEL'S (OPTIONAL) bonuses FOREVER, plus a copy of the game if that's in that reward level.

If you want updates on the game as well and our progress, just check this forum post, OR check my Tumblr at http://hentaiwriter.tumblr.com!

For those of you who are new to the game, just control+F "game summary" down below!
For those of you who AREN'T new to the game, there's a LOT of stuff that's new in this since the last public demo, including;

  • Talia's attacks have been overhauled; she now has a powerful charge attack, as well as a proper jumping attack (and soon to be crouching attack!)
  • Fully voiced cutscenes have been added; each level will have around 4 to 8 cutscenes
  • Six new sex loops/animations were added (three boss cycles, boss's blobs, Faye scene, Injured Soldier scene)
  • All enemies have had multiple sound effects added to their movement, attacks, etc.
  • Almost every sound effect in the game that already existed has been worked over, like Talia's shots, for instance
  • 20+ visual props added to increase aesthetics for the game, both static and animated
  • All maps have been overhauled and reworked since the last public version, with a few new maps added as well, bumping the total up to over 30 playable maps in the public demo
  • There's now "sex sounds" (pelvic slapping, cum sounds, squirting, etc.) during hentai animations
  • Opening databank switched out with a series of text tutorials (full game will have actual optional gameplay tutorial set in the past before the Fire Level starts)
  • Vents added; these will blow Talia around the room and are used as a puzzle gimmick/element
  • More databanks added in general
  • Fire Level Boss and boss room added
  • Bottomless pits turned into lava pits, so the player knows explicitly where they can and can't jump down into

Here's what's coming up in the next few months (not in any given order);

  • Conversion to C++; this will take a LOT of weight off the game's engine
  • Completely remade editor (for both ourselves and editor tier backers)
  • Cutscene editor (for both ourselves and editor tier backers, so we can knock out cutscenes much, much faster)
  • Options menu, to reconfigure controls in-game
  • Mantis bug database, for players to submit bugs so we can fix them
  • Parallax scrolling
  • Dynamic lighting (shots, flame, etc. will dynamically light surrounding areas and take into account depth too)
  • 3D sound & upping the bitrate of audio already in the game for higher audio quality
  • Ice Level Demo #1 for Patrons due on the 25th of October; monthly demos will again be works in progress, so no delays on these!
  • HTML5 Conversion for the current Fire Demo ONLY, for Newgrounds
  • Splitting Talia's charge shot into two separate shots for more balanced gameplay
  • Giving Talia her Fire Dash for the Ice Level onwards
  • Ice Level databanks
  • Ice Level enemies
  • Ice Level tiles
  • New musical soundtrack, composed by CheshireCat, inbetween programming
  • ? ? ? ? ? (There's a few surprises we want to keep secret until someone stumbles on them in-game; I think people will be pretty pleased though)

Future Fragments is an adult platforming game, with a Science Fiction theme.
The easiest way to imagine it is a combination of the following;
-Sidescrolling platformer game mechanics
-Science Fiction aesthetics
-Old school, yet fair, difficulty
-Lots and lots of sex with a huge variety of enemies

Additionally, there's a large amount of world building/backstory to the game that's accessible through "Databanks", computer terminals you can access around the game. (Patrons can get their names/characters in these, and this demo has quite a few of those in fact!). The player isn't required to read these to advance in the game though, so they're more for extra enjoyment, they're optional.

You play the part of Talia, an 18 year old female magician, living in the Medieval Ages.

You're easily one of the most talented newcomers under your King's reign, and he has a special assignment for you; you're to be sent 2,000 years into the future, along with the #1 ranked magician in the kingdom, Faye, to find and gather artifacts to bring back to the present time, in the Medieval Ages.

The King wants these artifacts to gain power for your domain, and to protect his citizens from evildoers who threaten the safety of his kingdom. Unfortunately for the King though, his magicians have different plans.

Talia and Faye both want the artifacts for different reasons; Talia wants them so she can set out on her own, free of anyone ruling over her, and Faye wants them to overthrow the kingdom and become the new ruler of it. So, it's a race to find these artifacts, and to get back home, before the other magician does.

However, the future is full of a LOT of strange changes to society, and a lot of dangers, including a whole host of really, REALLY pent up things that want to have their way with the mages!

And on top of that, as Talia gets farther behind enemy lines, things start to get a lot more complex than just getting the artifacts and getting home...

  • Five stages, each large and expansive, (the demo is just one level) with lots of secrets to find and explore!
  • 25 enemies, each with TWO H-Animations per enemy, for a total of 50 animations in-game, plus multiple traps!
  • Gain abilities from the bosses that give you additional utility to navigate around the levels, and find secret areas!
  • Fully voiced characters in cutscenes, by professional voice actresses!
  • Classic platforming gameplay, difficult but fair!
  • Over 75 moans/sex noises from Talia on the demo alone, with tons more for the full game! (25 penetration noises, 25 non-penetration, 23 specialty sounds for the Berserker #2 and Half-Demon #1 animations, and boss animation screams)
  • A wide variety of enemy designs, including humans, demons, tentacles, robots, ghosts, and many more, as well as a whole host of fetishes!
  • A translation of the in-game dialogue in multiple languages (currently Japanese and Spanish) once the game's completed, by a fluent speaker for each (no Google Translate here!)
  • 7 different endings (and we mean legitimately actual wildly different endings)

That about wraps things up; again, please, if you can support us with any amount, it means the world to us, and we are working very hard to get this game out ASAP while still maintaining a high level of quality. Also, if you think this game is worthy of your time and money, please do pass the news on about this game to others you know!

Not bad, reminds me of those Koonsoft games like Shinobi Girl. Looking forward to seeing some TG content!

I tried the last version now and here are a few suggestions/comments:

-work on your colissions, something is really fucked up on the diagonal platforms, you should check your treshold for the left stick, it picks up subtle inclinations on the yaxis fucking up your diagonal platforms.

-add some power to the shots, maybe some screenshake or some vibration on the game pad when you're charging the shot.

- change the ease on the follow up camera on the character, it seems like the camera moves too fast for every movement. Don't center the camera on the player, make it ease a bit.

- how about adding strafing? allowing the player to run away while shotting and stuff?

-work on your brute's AI, seems like more than once they charged to their death against a lava pit.

-Loved the wind puzzles

keep iterating till you get there :)

Well, the Game's art is amazing. The gameplay...however...

I think you are going in chunks in production. Try implementing all the game's mechanichs first and use placeholder art, polishing on mechanics and stuff for later, instead of getting everything done step by step.

I agree with the whole, no tf yet, thingy. But it's just an early demo. So, don't worry about those comments. I'm sure you'll take care of it later.

If I were you. I'd make the rooms in 60fps, and try to add gamepad support to it (it's super easy to do). GML shines in 60 FPS.

There is a feedback flaw in the fact that some parts of the game need you to jump to the void to continue and some kill you if you do, you need to find a way to hint your player if something is a safe drop or not.

Use some distinction on the Placeholder messages and the history stuff. Find a way to differentiate when you are breaking the 4th wall. (some sort of tech UI on the chat box when the info is part of the story and not the black you use as a dev speaking to your players)

GML things to take into consideration:

GML best features are particle systems and lighting effects, use them.

To sum up.

Looks good, the art alone is fucking amazing and the animation is breathtaking.

This is a game. It shows that the team has experience making games (not so sure about the production order though).

I'd like to see a proper alpha for this in the future. Looks promising.

All reviews on this page currently are for a very outdated version of the game, version 008; please try out the brand new 012 version and let us know what you think! :)

I'mma break down the title of this site.

TF- transformation or in other words the PC is changed or altered from their original state usually in a rather drastic way either over time or rapidly. Frankly I didn't see any TF in the current game, and the planned one looks to be very minimalistic.

gamesite- A playable version to say the least, which you "have" but I honestly would have bothered to put this link here since there is, as of right now, NO TF CONTENT IN THE GAME AS OF NOW, and vauge future plans of this game. And I honestly don't see the point of donating since this guy is already getting about $3,000 a month AND he has CheshireCat working on it.

I'm not trying to rip on this game, and I think it looks pretty damn good, but I am ripping on the fact you just shat out a link for free advertisment. If you're going to do something like that at least have the decency to fill in the basic fields of every other game here.
